459. Hannah GRIGGS was born on 9 July 1797 in Woodstock Township, Windham County, CT.^184,213 (Woodstock may have been a city in Pomfret Township.) She appeared in the census in 1850 in Ticonderoga, Essex County, NY.³¹⁵ She died on 13 February 1873 at the age of 75.³¹⁶ Hannah was buried in Ticonderoga, Essex County, NY.³¹⁶ in the Streetroad Cemetery.

Hannah GRIGGS and Elijah WOODARD Jr. were married.³¹⁷ Elijah WOODARD Jr., son of Elijah WOODARD and (Unknown) UNKNOWN (WOODARD), was born in 1790 in New Hampshire.³¹⁷ He served in the military about July 1812 in New York.^318,319 He enlisted at Ticonderoga from Crown Point N.Y., in 1812 for 6 months. He became sick and was sent home and his father came in his place, In 3 weeks time, Elijah the younger was well and went back to the fort in Champlain. In another 3 weeks, he was sick again and was sent home and his father came again in his place. In about another 3 weeks, the father took sick and died. Elijah the younger was discharged from duty.
He appeared in the census in 1850 in Ticonderoga, Essex County, NY.³¹⁵ His occupation was listed as "Boatman." Elijah died on 16 September 1854 at the age of 64.³¹⁶ He was buried in Ticonderoga, Essex County, NY.³¹⁶ in the Streetroad Cemetery.
