She was born June 2, 1897, in Pittsburgy, Pa., daughter of the late Herman and Lucinda (Connel) Aiken. She had been a long-time resident of Waterbury and was a member of the First Congregational Church.

Mrs. Griggs leaves three sons, Henry, Jr. and Edward, both of New York city, and Thomas, of Milford; two brothers, Edward, of Fox Chapel, Pa., and Herman, Jr., of Sohola, Pa.; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Levi Wilcox Chapel of the First Congregational Church in Waterbury, with the Rev. B. Kenneth Anthony officiating.

Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Terryville. Friends may call at the Alderson Funeral Home, 70 Central Ave., Waterbury, today from 2 to 4 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Congregational Church in Waterbury." She was buried in Terryville, Plymouth Township, Litchfield County, CT.⁶²² in the Hillside Cemetery.
