Ronald Lyne CRAWFORD (~) was born on 9 October 1943 in Oconomowoc, Waukesha County, WI.¹⁰⁰⁹ He appeared in the census in 1950 in New Lisbon, Juneau County, WI.¹⁰⁰⁷ He served in the military between March 1961 and September 1964 in Vietnam.¹⁰⁰⁶ He served in the U.S. Navy. Ronald lived at his family home in New Lisbon, Juneau County, WI about 1973.¹⁰¹² He died on 1 April 2014 at the age of 70 in Madison, Dane County, WI.¹⁰⁰⁹ Obituary Notes: "Ronald L. Crawford, age 70, of New Lisbon died on Tuesday April 1, 2014 at the University Hospital in Madison. Ron was the son of Rex and Marjorie (Rettammel) Crawford and was born on October 9, 1943 in Oconomowoc, WI. Ron was a graduate of the New Lisbon High School and of the Juneau County Teachers College, and he later attended UW La Crosse for 2 years.

Ron served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1964. He taught school for several years, and then pursued other interests, and retired from Toro Manufacturing in Tomah, WI. Ron was united in marriage to Mary J. Tierney on June 14, 1971 in La Crosse, WI. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, he also liked guns, auctions and collecting things, and walking.

Ron is survived by his wife Mary of New Lisbon, a daughter Marla (Jon) Aspenson of Grafton, WI, a son Robert (April Smith) Crawford of Plano, TX, a daughter Ronda Taylor of Houston, TX, by his sister Barbara (William) Peterson of Monmouth, IL , and brother Richard (Billie) Crawford of Grove,OK , and by 4 grandchildren; Ella, Grace, Alec, and Claire Asperson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held on Monday April 7, 2014 at 11:00am at the Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon with Fr. George Nelson Graham presiding. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday from 9:00am till the time of service. Military Honors will follow in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery." He was buried in New Lisbon, Juneau County, WI.^990,1009 in the St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery.
