(The Death record of his daughter Permelia listed his place of birth as Ohio.) He appeared in the census in 1810 in Westfield, Westfield Township, Hampden County, MA.⁵⁸ He lived in Northampton Township, Summit County, OH about 1816.⁴⁴ Moses died on 8 September 1825 at the age of 36 in Northampton Township, Summit County, OH.^8,44,59

Moses DEWEY (*) (*+) and Electa FOWLER (*) were married on 9 August 1813 in Westfield, Westfield Township, Hampden County, MA.^21,44,74,75 She must have been visiting in Westfield, MA, when she met Moses. They married there and then returned to her birth place in Ohio, where their children were born. She may have been a descendant of Ambrose Fowler, one of the founders of Westfield.

Electa FOWLER (*), daughter of David FOWLER and Polly RISING, was born on 2 May 1790 in Westfield, Westfield Township, Hampden County, MA.^6,76
