Obituary Notes: "Alma F. Pergande, 100, of Tomah, died Thursday, Feb 22, 2001, at the Tomah Healthcare Center. She was born Oct. 31, 1900, one of 10 daughters to Frank and Mary (Schappa) Koehler in the Town of Wilton on Dorset Ridge. She was united in marriage to Charles Pergande on Oct. 1, 1919. They farmed in the Town of Wilton for 38 years until they moved to Tomah in 1960. Her husband Charles preceded her in death on June 1, 1971. Alma was a past member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wilton and a current member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Tomah.

She is survived by a daughter, Arlene Baerwald of Tomah; two sisters, Edna Dinger of Milwaukee and Wilma Kohl of New London; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son-in-law, Arthur Baerwald; seven sisters, Anna Faulkner, Elsie Wappler, Cecil Noth, Margaret Cole, Clara Labombarde and infant sisters Freida and Ida." She was buried on 26 February 2001 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^59,432 in the Mount Vernon Cemetery.
