15. Samuel H. ANEY was born on 12 January 1828 in New York.^1,2,4,6 (In the 1860 Census, his age was listed as 31, indicating a birth year of about 1829.) He appeared in the census in 1860 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ He appeared in the census in 1880 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ Samuel died on 7 November 1912 at the age of 84.^1,2

Samuel H. ANEY and Ruth M. GIBBS were married.⁴

. Ruth M. GIBBS, daughter of Israel GIBBS and Charlotte WRIGHT, was born in 1829 in New York.^1,4,6 (She was listed as "Mary J." in the 1860 Census.) She appeared in the census in 1860 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ She appeared in the census in 1880 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ Ruth died in 1894 at the age of 65.¹
