Province, Preussen (Prussia).^1,2,3,4 (The cemetery records list his birth year as 1867; his church confirmation records list his birth date as 26 Sep 1868.) He emigrated in 1873 from Preussen (Prussia).¹ He appeared in the census in 1910 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ His occupation was "Farmer, General Farm." Charles died in 1935 at the age of 67.² He was buried in 1935 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.² in the St. Jacob's Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Carl Friedrich Wilhelm "Charles" ARNDT and Anna Elisabeth "Lizzie" NEUMANN were married on 20 October 1897 in Monroe County, WI.^3,5,6,7 (One of the sponsors of the baptism of her daughter Mabel was Charlotte Neumann; she may have been a sister.) Anna Elisabeth "Lizzie" NEUMANN, daughter of August NEUMANN and Anna Elizabeth PFUHL, was born in 1874 in Hessen (Hesse) Province, German Confederation.^1,2,3 She appeared in the census in 1910 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ She died in 1931 at the age of 57.² Lizzie was buried in 1931 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.² in the St. Jacob's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
