A jokester at heart, Bernard loved being able to socialize and spend time with his friends whether out fishing or at the Elbow Room. Many things brought Bernard happiness; fishing for trout, playing euchre, a cold can of PBR, watching the birds and his 6-beer chicken. Where he found his greatest happiness was within his family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Bernard always looked forward to the yearly Hayward camping trips with his entire family, where memories that would last a lifetime were created.
