76. Rita BETTHAUSER was born on 3 May 1947.32

Rita BETTHAUSER and Douglas A. "Doug" OLSON were married on 24 October 1970 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.31,60 Douglas A. "Doug" OLSON, son of (Unknown) OLSON and Florence UNKNOWN (OLSON), was born on 31 May 1943.60 He died on 18 November 2012 at the age of 69 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.60

Obituary Notes: "Douglas A. Olson, 69, of Tomah passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 31, 1943. He served in the Army National Guard Reserves for 26 years. Doug was united in marriage to Rita Betthauser on Oct. 24, 1970.

He worked at Volk Field and Fort McCoy in electronic maintenance. He was a dedicated member of the Tomah Lions Club for 35 years and was proud to have coordinated the transportation of many eye tissue donations. He was also an advocate for organ donation. Doug was involved in the Tomah community and served on the City Council and the Police and Fire Commission. He had a strong faith and was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Doug and Rita were also members of the St. Mary’s Pinochle group for 38 years.
Following his retirement, he worked part time at Mayo Clinic Health System. In his spare time, he enjoyed outdoor activities, especially riding bicycles. He will be remembered for his positive outlook on life and storytelling. Doug was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Doug is survived by his wife, Rita of Tomah; daughters, Stephany (Jason) Schroeder of Camp Douglas and Jennifer (Brian) Pederson of Fall Creek, Wis.; grandchildren, Chloe, Ella and Colby Schroeder and Amelia, Shawn and Lucas Pederson; sisters, Shirley (Richard) Schultz of Sparta and Linda (Brian) Lile of Missouri; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Therese (Richard) Schuh, Mary Weiss, Gerald (Carol) Betthauser and Daniel Betthauser; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Vermise; siblings, Betty, Alvin and Glen; brother-in-law, Loren Weiss; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rosanne and Bud Langer.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tomah. Monsignor Richard Gilles officiated. Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Tomah."
