1. Johann Christian BOHRNSTEDT was born about 1793 in Preussen (Prussia).¹

Johann Christian BOHRNSTEDT and Maria Elizabeth "Mary" SOMMER were married on 30 September 1820 in Klatzow, Kreis Demmin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Province, Preussen (Prussia).¹ They lived first in Weltzin, Kreis Demmin Vor Pommern Germany, and than in Cadow, where they both worked for the Winterfeld Estate. Maria Elizabeth "Mary" SOMMER was born about 1798 in Preussen (Prussia).² She appeared in the census in 1870 in Trempealeau Township, Trempealeau County, WI.² She was living with the family of her daughter, Wilhelmina, and her husband, John "Arndt," and her occupation was "Keeping House." Her age was 72 and her birth place was "Prussia."

A few households away was the family of her son John.

She could not be located in the 1880 Census, so she may have died before then.
