38. Andrew KEPNER was born.⁴ Andrew and several of his siblings were deaf and dumb. His wife, Mary Jane Barker, was also deaf and dumb.

Andrew KEPNER and Mary Jane BARKER were married.⁴ They had five children, none of whom were believed to have been deaf and dumb. Mary Jane BARKER was born.⁴ She and her brother, Eleazer, both attended the same institute for the deaf and dumb in Indianapolis that her husband and his siblings attended.
