Friedrich Albert "Fred" DAMEROW Jr. was born on 26 January 1867 in Hermelsdorf, Kreis Naugard, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).^{8,15,22,37,39} His parents later moved to Voigtshagen Kreis Naugardt, Germany. (His birth date may have been 11 Feb 1867.) He was christened on 3 February 1867 in Hermelsdorf, Kreis Naugard, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).³⁷ He emigrated in May 1883 from Hermelsdorf, Kreis Naugard, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).^{7,11,15,21,22,27} He is believed to have been the Friedrich Damerow that emigrated with Gottlieb and Louisa Damerow in May 1883 on the S.S. Main. Friedrich's father (and possibly his mother) had died in Germany, and he is believed to have emigrated with his father's brother. Gottlieb.
