4. William E. DECKER was born on 6 November 1831 in Franklin, Delaware County, NY.¹ He died on 31 July 1864 at the age of 32 in Pine Bluff, Jefferson County, AR.^1,2 in the Little Rock Army Hospital. He was buried in Little Rock, Pulaski County, AR.¹ in the Little Rock National Cemetery.

DECKER and Sarah Ellen VANDER BOGART were married on 19 August 1860 in Dodge County, WI.¹ Sarah Ellen VANDER BOGART, daughter of Isaac VANDER BOGART and Catherine GRIGGS, was born on 16 September 1841 in New York.¹ She appeared in the census in 1860 in Oconomowoc Township, Waukesha County, WI.¹ She appeared in the census in 1870 in Oconomowoc Township, Waukesha County, WI.¹ Sarah died on 21 May 1915 at the age of 73 in Bellevue, Eaton County, MI.¹
