16. William Frederick GRABITSKY was born on 18 December 1885 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^7,46 (The 1900 Census listed his birth date as Mar 1886 and his age as 14.) After 1910 he was a carpenter at the Frog Shops for the Milwaukee Road railroad in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴⁶ In September 1918 he was in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴⁷ His occupation was "Blacksmith Helper." He registered for the Military Draft on 12 September 1918 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI. ⁴⁷ He spelled his surname as "Grabitsky" on his Draft Card. William died on 14 October 1918 at the age of 32 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^46,48 of pneumonia during the epidemic of Spanish Influenza. He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^11,46 in the Oak Grove Cemetery. (His surname is listed as "Grabitsky" in the cemetery records.)

William Frederick GRABITSKY and Anna H. FRIESKE were married on 21 June 1911 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^48,49 They were married by F. W. Kitzke, and their witnesses were Hulda Erdmann and Gustav Friske. Anna H. FRIESKE, daughter of Gustav Friedrich FRIESKE and Emilie Anna VOLSKE, was born on 26 July 1888 in Cook County, IL.^6,10,12,49 (According to the 1910, 1920 and 1930 Census', both of her parents were born in Germany.) She appeared in the census in 1905 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵⁰ Her occupation was listed as "Housekeeper." She appeared in the census in 1910 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ Her occupation was "Servant, House." Anna appeared in the census in 1920 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^10,49 She was listed as a "Widow" and was living with her two sons. Her household was at 412 McCaul Street in the 2nd Ward. She appeared in the census in 1930 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.¹² She died on 3 September 1984 at the age of 96 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴⁶ Anna was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴⁶ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
