Behrens, 81, of Tomah died December 14, 2007 at the Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. She was born Nov. 8, 1926 to Rudolph and Emma (Liersch) Graf in town of Clifton. She was united in marriage to John A. Behrens on Feb. 10, 1948 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Tomah. He preceded her in death February 20, 1995. She worked at W. R. Christianson Accounting and EDP Services until her retirement. Fern was a member of the Curtis - McNutt VFW Post #1382 Ladies Auxillary and served as a past president. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. She is survived by her daughter Connie of Tomah, 2 grandchildren Chad Behrens of Minneapolis, MN and Christopher (Robyn) Behrens of Watertown, MN, a great-grandson Nathan Behrens, a sister Doris (William) Rabe of Tomah, and a daughter-in-law Janelle Behrens-Wood of Sparta, 2 nieces Roxanne Leedy of Knoxville, TN and Rhonda Behrens of Onalaska, a brother-in-law Frederick “Junior” (Inez) Behrens of Onalaska, other relatives and friends. In additioin to her husband John, she was preceded in death by a son Curtis, a sister Orel and a brother Russel, and a nephew Mark Rabe. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 20, 11 a.m. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Avenue, Tomah. Pastor Donald R. Buch will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah."
