197. George FROHMADER was born on 10 November 1927 in Wisconsin.83,139 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Camp Douglas, Cutler Township, Juneau County, WI.83 He died on 17 November 2015 at the age of 88 in Camp Douglas, Cutler Township, Juneau County, WI.139

Obituary Notes: "LTC George T. Frohmader (retired), 88, of Camp Douglas died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, after a sudden accident. George was the son of Carl G. Frohmader and Florence A. (Wilcox) Frohmader, and was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Camp Douglas.

George was raised in the Camp Douglas area, and graduated in 1945, from Camp Douglas High School. He then entered into the U.S. Army and served as an MP in Vienna, Italy, in the American Zone under Gen. Mark Clark. After World War II, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and later at LSU in Baton Rouge, La. During the Korean War he was in charge of a POW Camp on an island. George continued serving his country in the Army Reserves when he returned home.

Early in his career he worked at a school for troubled children in Red Wing, Minn., and later was employed as the administrator of Milwaukee County Children’s Court Center for 20 years, retiring in 1986.

George was a member of Camp Douglas American Legion Post 133, and of Juneau County 40 & 8. George enjoyed fishing with family and friends at Lake Seseganaga in Ontario, Canada. He also enjoyed deer hunting and just working in the outdoors.

George is survived by his wife, Ruth, of Camp Douglas; six children, Donald (Karen) Frohmader, of Hartland, Wis., Alan (Laurie Ann) Frohmader, of Coon Rapids, Minn., Marie Miller, of Brookfield, Wis., Michelle (Richard) Carpenter, of Tomah, Lisa Frohmader, of Hustler, Wis., and Maurice (Katie) Patrykus, of Ventura, Calif.; a brother, John Frohmader, of Cameron, Wis.; a sister, Jane Tester, of Roseberg, Ore.; eight grandchildren; and by many other relatives; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Yvonne; and brothers, William Frohmader and James Frohmader.
Memorials to St. James Catholic Church or to Camp Douglas American Legion Post 133 would be appreciated.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at St. James Catholic Church, 100 Bartell St., Camp Douglas. Relatives and friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday at St. James Catholic Church. Burial with full Military Honors will be held in St. James Catholic Cemetery."
