35. William Earl "Bill" GAMERDINGER was born on 9 July 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.2,17,21 He died on 9 December 2006 at the age of 76 in Antigo, Langlade County, WI.21

Obituary Notes: "William E. Gamerdinger, known to many as “Mr. Bill”, age 76 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at Langlade Memorial Hospital in Antigo, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Bill was born on July 9, 1930, in Tomah, WI, son of Albert Gamerdinger and Emma Martha Kuehl Gamerdinger. The family moved to Germany, and later on while living in Germany, Bill joined the United States Air Force and became a firefighter.

He fell in love and wed Donna Sullivan on March 3, 1954, in Tomah. She preceded him in death in 1984. Bill worked as a carpenter in the Milwaukee and Grafton areas. The couple then opened Bill & Donna’s Fredonia Inn in 1979 in Fredonia, WI, and successfully ran it until retirement in 2003. He was a member of Waubeka Flag Day Post 7037 Veterans of Foreign Wars and also enjoyed socializing with his friends and customers, shooting pool, fishing, hunting, and especially going to his cabin in Wabeno, WI.

Mr. Gamerdinger is survived by his three children: Rita (Erick) Talle of Durand, WI, Tom (Jodi) Gamerdinger of Belgium, and Tinsley “Lee” Gamerdinger of Fredonia. He is further survived by his loving companion, Rose Kwick of Pickerel; grandchildren Angela Talle, Timothy Gamerdinger, Jason Talle, Mark (fianceé Jamie Nickerson) Gamerdinger, Thomas Gamerdinger, Catrina Gamerdinger, and Amy (Josh) Wood; great-grandchildren Molly Talle, Jayden Gamerdinger, Kassidy Gamerdinger, Bailey Haskins and two angels not yet brought into this world; brothers Frank (Pat) Gamerdinger of Illinois, John “Jack” (Ruth Ann) Gamerdinger of Elroy and Jim (Mary) Gamerdinger of Iowa; one sister, Joanne (Fred) Crawford of Sparta; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna; one son, Linsley, and one brother, Edward.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday), Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, WI, with Pastor Alice Horton officiating. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery in Tomah."
