39. Edward Ira GAMERDINGER was born on 21 October 1937 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.^2,15,17,21 He died on 21 December 2005 at the age of 68 in Oakdale, Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.²¹

Obituary Notes: "Edward I. Gamerdinger, 68, of Oakdale died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer for the past year. He was born Oct. 21, 1937 to Albert and Emma (Kuehl) Gamerdinger in the Town of Adrian, Monroe County. He was united in marriage to Maureen Barry in 1966, they later divorced. Ed worked at the Oakdale Electric Cooperative until his retirement. He served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, 32nd Division called to active duty during the Berlin Crisis. He was a past member of the Oakdale Volunteer Fire Dept. He was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan and NASCAR Racing Fan.

He is survived by two daughters Wende (Duane) Landowski of Camp Douglas and Kandi Gamerdinger of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren Chad Sullivan and Andrea Landowski; four brothers, Frank (Pat) of Bellville, IL, William (special friend Rose) of Belgium, WI, James (Mary) of Iowa, and John (Ruth Ann) of Elroy; a sister, Joan (Fred) Crawford of Sparta; nieces, nephews, other relatives, many special friends including Shirley Nauman and Kimmy Brudniksy. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, 11 a.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 115 W. La Crosse St., Tomah. Pastor Edwin W. Stigen will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery with military honors by Grassman-Sowle-Larsen-Senz American Legion Post #201.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. and at the First Congregational United Church of Christ on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of the services."
He was buried on 28 December 2005 in Oakdale, Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.²¹ in the Oakdale Cemetery.
