1. Thomas GILLETTE Sr. was born on 18 November 1786 in New York.^1,2,3 (His birth date may have been 11 Nov 1787.) He appeared in the census in 1850 in Crawford County, WI.¹ He appeared in the census in 1860 in Viroqua Township, Vernon County, WI.² Thomas died on 24 March 1864 at the age of 77 in Bad Axe Township, Crawford County, WI.^2,3 He was buried in Viroqua Township, Vernon County, WI.² in the Pioneer Cemetery.

Thomas GILLETTE Sr. and Sophia PRATT were married on 24 October 1810 in Phillipstown Township, Putnam County, NY.^1,3 Sophia PRATT was born on 27 May 1790 in Washington, Litchfield County, CT.^1,2,3 (Her birth date may have been 23 June 1793.) She appeared in the census in 1850 in Crawford County, WI.¹ She died on 26 June 1879 at the age of 89 in Glenville, Freeborn County, MN.³
