He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁰ He appeared in the census in 1910 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.²³ Alex appeared in the census in 1920 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^5,39 His household was at 1812 Superior Avenue and his occupation was "Laborer, Tobacco Factory."

(He and his wife could not be located in the 1930 Census.) He died on 2 April 1936 at the age of 60 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^54,76 of Bright's Disease. He was buried on 4 April 1936 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^2,76 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Louis Alexander "Alex" GNEWIKOW and Sophia Auguste "Sophie" ZELLMER were married on 26 May 1907 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^26,40,77 Sophia Auguste "Sophie" ZELLMER⁶⁷, daughter of Friedrich Wilhelm ZELLMER and Louisa Emilie GIESLER, was born on 18 December 1881 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^{2,14,20,26,78,79} She was baptized on 22 January 1882 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁴ at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was confirmed on 29 May 1896 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷⁹ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Sophie appeared in the census in 1900 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁰ She appeared in the census in 1910 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.²³ She appeared in the census in 1920 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ Sophie died on 14 October 1971 at the age of 89 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁶ She was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^2,26 in the Oak Grove Cemetery. The couple had two children and both died in infancy.

Harold Friedrich GNEWIKOW² was born on 3 January 1920 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^5,63,82 (He was not listed with his parents in the 1920 Census, which was conducted on January 6th; it is not known why he was omitted.) He was baptized on 25 January 1920 in Monroe County, WI.⁸² He died on 11 February 1923 at the age of 3.^54,83 Harold was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁸³ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
