34. Roger Albert GRAEWIN was born on 30 March 1933 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.18,31 He was baptized on 21 May 1933 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.31 at St. Jacob's Lutheran Church. He was confirmed on 30 March 1947.31 Roger died on 10 December 2003 at the age of 70 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.31 He was buried on 13 December 2003 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.31 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Roger Albert GRAEWIN and LaVonne Janette GNEWIKOW were married on 26 September 1954 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.62,84 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. LaVonne Janette GNEWIKOW, daughter of Walter Oliver GNEWIKOW and Emma Louise LIETZ, was born on 25 September 1934 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.18,84 (Her given name was listed as "Lavane" in the Birth Registration Index.) She died on 2 November 2013 at the age of 79 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.84

Obituary Notes: "LaVonne Jeanette Graewin, 79, of Wilton died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at her home. She was born Sept. 25, 1934, to Walter and Emma (Lietz) Gnewikow in Wilton. She was baptized Nov. 4, 1934, and confirmed March 21, 1948, at St. Paul Evangelical  Lutheran Church in Tomah. She was a member of the Tomah Senior High School Class of 1952.

She was united in marriage to Roger Graewin Sept. 26, 1954, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tomah. He preceded her in death Dec. 10, 2003. Together they farmed in the Town of Ridgeville for many years. Their farm received the century farm award in 1992. She was always hardworking and took great pride in farming. She enjoyed working in her garden, canning, and was an excellent cook. She will be remembered for her pancakes and grandma’s cookies.

After Roger passed away, LaVonne enjoyed traveling and took several charter bus trips and train trips with her sister-in-law Mary. She was very outgoing and could strike up a conversation with anyone. She was a charter member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Tomah, and served on the Ladies Aid. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by 3 sons, Steve (Sharon) of Camp Douglas, Scott (Julie) of Mauston, Wis.,  and Kerry (friend Kelly) of Wilton; 4 grandchildren, Jesse and Tiffany Graewin of Mauston, Riley and Dawson Graewin of Wilton; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Gnewikow of Oakdale, and Laura Gnewikow of Tomah; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In additions to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, Loren, Leonard, Delwin, Harvey, and William Gnewikow, and a sister-in-law, Arlene Gnewikow.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1221 LaGrange Ave., Tomah. Pastor Mark Benning will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery."
