1. August Julius Edgar GRAEWIN Sr. was born on 4 May 1850 in Teschondorf, Dramburg, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).1,2,3,4,5 (His surname was listed as "Gravin" in the 1900 Membership Roster of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church; it is pronounced "Graveen.")

(There were two cities named Teschendorf in Pommern. One was located in Dramburg County and the other was in Regenwalde County. Unsure of which county he was born in.) Before 1892 he was a brewery foreman in Preussen (Prussia).2 He emigrated in 1892 from Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).2,6 About 1900 August was a blacksmith and horseshoer in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.7,8 and he also owned an 80-acre farm in the northeast corner of Section 25 of Ridgeville Township. He appeared in the census in 1900 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.9 He was Lutheran about 1900 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.5,10 He was listed in the Church Register as member number 100 of the first 100 members of the congregation of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. August Julius Edgar GRAEWIN Sr. and Johanne Louise Ernestine "Louisa" ROSENOW were married about 1873 in Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).1,2,3 Johanne Louise Ernestine "Louisa" ROSENOW, daughter of Ernst Gottlieb ROSENOW and Dorothea Louise MARQUARDT, was born on 29 January 1854 in Kannenberg, Kreis Saatzig, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).1,3,4 She emigrated in 1892 from Preussen (Prussia).2,6 She appeared in the census in 1900 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.9 Louisa appeared in the census in 1910 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.11 She appeared in the census in 1930 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.6 She died on 4 June 1935 at the age of 81.1,3,4 Louisa was buried in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.4 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
