104. Keith Conrad KEENE was born on 12 March 1928 in Monroe County, WI.11 He died on 25 August 2001 at the age of 73.73 He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.73 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Keith Conrad KEENE and Shirley LALAN were married on 2 September 1951.93,94 Shirley LALAN, daughter of Ralph LALAN and Louise VAHLSING, was born on 23 September 1926 in Weyerhaeuser, Rusk County, WI.94 She died on 13 December 2017 at the age of 91.94

Obituary Notes: "Shirley A. Keene, 91, of Tomah passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017.

She was born Sept. 23, 1926, in Weyerhaeuser, Wis., to Ralph and Louise Lalan. She graduated as valedictorian from Birchwood High School and went on to attend nurses training at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, Wis., where she received her registered nursing degree in 1948. Shirley then moved to Tomah and was employed by the V.A. Hospital for over 30 years. She retired as head nurse of building 408.

She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 65 years and a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women Church group. Shirley loved to play bridge and nickel poker with her friends. She was a world traveler, loved to go on trips to different countries and experience their cultures. She was a wonderful cook and loved to cook and bake for her family.

Shirley married Keith Keene Sept. 2, 1951. They were married almost 50 years, until his death in 2001.

She is survived by her children, Diane Keene and David (Jolene) Keene; three granddaughters, Kori Keene, Jessie (Tate) Chhith, and Kelly (Dan) Roose; and four great-grandchildren, Connor, Emrielle, Lana, and Daphne. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Katheleen Bean, Albena Lalan, Gharleen Moseley; and brother-in-law, Rex Moseley. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith, in 2001; brother, Orville Lalan and Clifford Lalan; her sister, Donna Henn; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Rudkin, Russell Bean, and Frances Henn; and sister-in-law, Lucy Lalan.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at the First United Methodist Church in Tomah. Pastor Krysta Deede will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Tomah. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Visitation will also be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church."
