Louise Emma Gene BIGELOW (~) was born on 9 February 1919 in Manchester, Coffee County, TN.^679,680,930 (She was listed as age 7 in the application by her uncle Willard to serve as Administrator of her father's estate when he died in June 1927. That was either an error or it would indicate that she was born in 1920.)

(Her Social Secirity card was issued in New Mexico, so she must have lived there for a while.) She appeared in the census in 1920 in Warren County, TN.^677,693 She was listed as a "Niece" in the household of Hopwood and Connie Edge, on McMinnville Road in Civil District 13. Her surname was listed as "Biglow." The Edge household was next to that of John and Mattie Smith, and the three siblings of Louise were living there. Hopwood and Mattie were siblings of the childrens' mother, Myrtle. She lived in Tennessee in June 1927.⁶⁹⁴ Louise appeared in the census in 1930 in Warren County, TN.⁹³⁹ She was listed as a "Niece" in the household of Connie Edge, a widowed wife of Hopgood Edge--a brother of her mother. Their household was on Charles Orell (?) Road in Civil District 13. She appeared in the census in 1940 in Warren County, TN.⁹⁴⁰ She was living with her Aunt Connie M. Edge on Short Mountain Road. Her husband was not living with her and they may have divorced before then. She lived in Fort Sumner, DeBaca County, NM in March 1982.³²⁰ Louise died on 6 February 1996 at the age of 76 in Ocean Springs, Jackson County, MS.^680,930 She was buried in Ocean Springs, Jackson County, MS.⁶⁸⁰ in the Crestlawn Memorial Park.

Louise Emma Gene BIGELOW (~) and E. C. SMARTT were married on 9 December 1937 in Warren County, TN.^{493,499,933,941} They obtained a Marriage License on 9 Dec 1937 in Warren County and were married on that same date. E. C. SMARTT, son of Thomas SMARTT and Maggie J. UNKNOWN (SMARTT), was born on 4 March 1916 in Tennessee.⁹³⁰ He appeared in the census in 1930 in Warren County, TN.⁹³⁹ He died on 23 April 2000 at the age of 84 in Mississippi.⁹³⁰
