EVANS was born on 14 September 1905 in Oakdale, Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.36,147,252 He appeared in the census in 1910 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.88 He appeared in the census in 1920 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.118 Joseph graduated in 1923 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.253 from Tomah High School. He appeared in the census in 1930 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.119 He died on 4 November 1977 at the age of 72 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.

Joseph C. EVANS and Julia Mae EDMINSTER were married on 28 May 1929 in Winona, Winona County, MN.36 Julia Mae EDMINSTER, daughter of Judson L. EDMINSTER and Fredericke Louise Maria LUDEKING, was born on 23 January 1908 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.147,254 She was baptized on 10 May 1908 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.254 She appeared in the census in 1910 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.88 Julia appeared in the census in 1930 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.119 She and her husband were living with her parents. She died on 20 August 2005 at the age of 97.36

Obituary Notes: "Julia Mae Evans, 97, born to Judson and Fredricka (Ludeking) Edminster in the town of Adrian, Monroe County, WI, on Jan. 20, 1908, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 20, 2005.

One of nine Edminster children, she married the late Joseph C. Evans on May 28, 1929, in Winona, MN. Julia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, a dedicated homemaker and a successful retail businesswoman. She was active in the Methodist Church as a member in women's groups and on church committees.

Julia is survived by two daughters: Beverly (John) Borsack of Houston, TX, and Mary Jane (John) Symons of Fairfax, VA; eight grandchildren: Heidi Reinold, David Borsack, Shelley Anderson, Janna Inghram, Daniel Borsack, Joli Beevers, Peter Borsack and Jan Marie Symons; 14 great-grandchildren: Audrey and Travis Reinold, Julie Ann, Tracy, Kelly Jo and Tavis Borsack, Katharine, Christine, and Jonathan Anderson, Rachel, Brian and Jason Inghram, Robert Beevers and Julia Borsack; a brother, Byron Edminster of Phoenix, AZ; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her five sisters: Beverly Edminster, Harriet Retzloff, Bergetta Budd, Frances Skaife and Mary Jane Schmidt; and two brothers: Wilmer Edminster and Howard Edminster.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah. Chaplain Bob Linaberry will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in the Town of Oakdale. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service."
She was buried on 27 August 2005 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.36 in the Oakdale Township Cemetery.
