120. Steven Leonard "Steve" WOODARD was born on 5 September 1947 in Mauston, Juneau County, WI.⁴⁵ He died on 10 December 2012 at the age of 65 in Camp Douglas, Cutler Township, Juneau County, WI.⁴⁵

Obituary Notes: "Steven Leonard Woodard, 65, of New Lisbon formerly of Camp Douglas, died on Monday December 10, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family, after a six month battle with leukemia. Steve was born in Mauston, WI, on September 5, 1947 to Donald and Marcella (Hagel) Woodard of Camp Douglas. He graduated from Tomah High School in 1966.

Steve served 4 years in the United States Air Force as a jet engine mechanic. One of those years he served in Vietnam. Upon being discharged from the military he graduated from Western Technical College in La Crosse as a heating and air conditioning specialist.
Steve was united in marriage to Sara R. Burnstad on January 8, 1972, they have been married for 40 years. Steve worked for the V.A. Medical Center in Tomah where he retired in 2009. Prior to his employment at the V. A. he was employed by Dean’s Refrigeration also of Tomah, and Oakdale Electric in Oakdale, WI.

Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting trap, He also enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Medford, WI, and hanging out with family and friends, and was always known as the life of the party and for his great sense of humor.

Steve is survived by his wife Sara of New Lisbon, a son Tal (Tami) Woodard of Becker, MN, a daughter Lisa Talley and special friend Mike Durrah of West Salem, WI, a daughter Megan (Troy) Willard of New Lisbon, WI, a sister Marcia Jean (Wayne) Barnes of Oakdale, MN, and by seven grandchildren, Rhett, Makayla, Cole, Gavin, Alison, Danika, and Aubrey, and by nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and many other family members.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 12, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon."
