Gladys appeared in the census in 1920 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁸ At the time of the 1920 Census, she was living with her grandparents, Henry and Mary Street. Her name was listed as Gladys Orr, so she had already married. Her husband was not listed in the household.
