Walcup, 92, of Camp Douglas, died Friday, June 24, 2005, at Tomah Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 2, 1913, in the Town of Oakdale to Joseph and Alice (Frohmader) Honish. Prior to her retirement, Hazel worked as a teacher at Milwaukee Area Technical College in Milwaukee. She also taught at several high schools including Elroy High School and New Lisbon High School. She is survived by her daughter, Mary (James) Madden of Whitefish Bay; three grandsons, David (Christine) Madden, John and Christopher Madden; a great-granddaughter, Keltie; a brother, Francis (Dorothy) Honish of Wisconsin Dells; a sister, Elinor McPhail of Necedah; a sister-in-law, Katie Connor Honish of Camp Douglas. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Walcup, and a grandson, James Madden. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held today (Thursday), June 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in the Town of Oakdale. Father Norbert P. Dall officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends called at the church today (Thursday) from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. The Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements." She was buried on 30 June 2005 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.33 in the St. Michael's Catholic Church Cemetery.
