1. Franz "Frank" HONISH Sr. was born on 10 January 1836 in Bohemia (Austria).^1,2,3,4 (The 1870 Census listed his age as 35 and his birth place as Austria.) He emigrated in 1863 from Bohemia (Austria).³ He appeared in the census in 1870 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.² His household consisted of Frank, age 35, occupation "Farmer," born in Austria, and "Rosalia," age 5, born in Wisconsin. The identity and relationship of Rosalia are not known. Frank appeared in the census in 1880 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ His occupation was "Farmer." He appeared in the census in 1885 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ He appeared in the census in 1900 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.³ His occupation was "Farmer."

. Frank died on 8 May 1906 at the age of 70 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.^4,7 He was buried at St. Michaels Cemetery in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.^4,8

Franz "Frank" HONISH Sr. and Johanna BLASKEY were married on 17 January 1871 in New Lisbon, Juneau County, WI.^3,4,9,10 According to the 1900 Census, they had been married 29 years and had 9 children, of which all 9 were still living; the 1910 Census also said they had 9 children. Rosalia may not have been their daughter. An article in the Monroe County Heritage Book also indicates that they had a daughter named "Hannah Smith." Johanna BLASKEY¹¹, daughter of Wencel BLASKEY and Johanna ZASTOUPIL, was born on 15 June 1853 in Vaclavov, Usti nad Orlici, Pardubice Kraj, Bohemia (Austria).^{1,3,4,8,10,12} (Her surname is believed to have originally been "Blazek.")

(According to the 1910 Census, her parents were born in "Aust. Bohemia." The 1930 Census lists her birth place and that of her parents as "Austria.")

(Her gravestone lists her year of birth as 1854. However a source on MyHeritage.com lists her birth date as 15 June 1853, and the 1900 Census lists it as June 1853.)

She was buried in 1931 at St. Michaels Cemetery in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.⁸ Her surname is spelled "Blazek" in the Immigration Records.
