56. Curtis Joseph TIBER Sr. was born on 8 February 1935 in Oakdale, Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.23,24,75 (His middle name was listed as "Clarence" in the Birth Registration Index.) He graduated in 1953 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.76 from Tomah High School. He lived at his home in Camp Douglas, Cutler Township, Juneau County, WI in August 2003.51 Curtis died on 20 October 2015 at the age of 80 in Camp Douglas, Cutler Township, Juneau County, WI.75

Obituary Notes: "Curtis J. Tiber, 80, of Camp Douglas died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, at his home. Curtis was the son of Clarence J. and Rose (Henseler) Tiber and was born Feb. 8, 1935, in the town of Oakdale, Wis. Curtis graduated from Tomah High School class of 1953.

He was united in marriage to Ellen A. Madden Oct. 17, 1959, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, in Elroy, Wis., and they were blessed with four children, Curtis, Nancy, Julie, and Cathy Jo. Curtis enjoyed going to auctions and collecting “things,” hunting prairie dogs and tinkering in the red shed. Curtis redesigned anything ever built. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his children, and especially his nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Curtis never called his wife, Ellen, she was always “Mom,” and he loved holding her hand every day.

Curtis is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ellen Tiber of Camp Douglas; his three daughters, Nancy (Dann) Walker, of New Lisbon, Wis., Julie Tiber (Gary Felber), of Tomah, Cathy Jo (Danny) Berry, of New Lisbon; a brother, Thomas (Vicki) Tiber, of Rochester, N.Y.; a sister, Carol Walcker of Hocha, Minn.; nine grandchildren, Curtis (Lindsey) Walker, Kyle (Kaitlin) Walker, Craig Walker (Samantha Olson), Nick Marden, Jamie Marden (Tad Clark,) David Bunker, Michael Bunker (Rachel Haschke,) Joseph (Maggie) Berry, Danielle Berry (Ethan Benson;) five great-grandchildren, Gage Jensen, Wyatt Jensen, Tenley Jensen, Harper Berry and Roman Walker; a special friend, Jim Bell; and by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Curtis Joseph; one grandson, Steven Marden; and two sisters, Eileen Menke, and Mary Hoffman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at St. James Catholic Church, 100 Bartell St., in Camp Douglas. Relatives and friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m., with a vigil service starting at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Hare Funeral Home, and 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Fr. Robert Letona presiding. Burial will be in St. James Catholic Cemetery."
