He appeared in the census in 1910 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.10 He appeared in the census in 1920 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.18 Ted appeared in the census in 1930 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.14 He was living with his parents. He died on 6 November 1984 at the age of 75 in Oakdale, Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.24,33

Theodore Michael "Ted" TIBER and Leila Eileen GABOWER were married on 15 June 1939 in Indian Creek, Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.24,33,44,45,46 Leila Eileen GABOWER, daughter of Frank Fredrick GABOWER and Myrtle Elnora BROWN, was born on 28 September 1918 in Oakdale, Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.23,45 She appeared in the census in 1920 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.18 She appeared in the census in 1930 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.14 Leila graduated in 1935 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.47 from Tomah High School. She lived in Camp Douglas, Cutler Township, Juneau County, WI after 1939.48 She died on 7 February 2021 at the age of 102 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.48
Obituary Notes: "Leila E. Tiber, age 102, of Camp Douglas, WI, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Cranberry Court in Tomah. Leila was born September 28, 1918, to Frank and Myrtle (Brown) Gabower on the farm Southeast of Oakdale.

She lived there until she married Theodore Tiber June 15, 1939 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Indian Creek. They lived on the Tiber farm that had been in existence since 1868 with the Tiber families.

She was a Tomah High School graduate and attended the teacher training class. She taught at Mound View and Benjamanville schools before getting married. Married teachers were not permitted, so she became a farmer’s helper and had two sons, Michael and Terrence.

Leila was invited to return to teaching school at Tunnel City in January of 1955. She stayed two more years then moved to Valley View and Wyeville schools and eventually to Tomah, Camp Douglas, and Oakdale school districts. She taught for over 30 years in the Monroe County public school system.

When she wasn’t teaching, Leila worked with the Farmers Union and 4-H children. She was also active in many other organizations including in the Homemakers Club, recycling, church, flu shots, the nutrition site in Oakdale and newspaper correspondents.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Carolyn) Tiber of Dodgeville, WI, and Terry (Peggy) Tiber of Oakdale, WI; 7 grandchildren, Tim (Karen) Tiber, Teresa (Dave) Bauer, Marc (Carrie) Tiber, Troy (Michelle) Tiber, Greg Tiber, Tom (Jennifer) Tiber, Megan (Mark) Von Haden, 16 great grandchildren, a brother, Orville (Sharon) Gabower; 2 step great grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Theodore.

A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in rural Oakdale. Father Robert Letona will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family would encourage no flowers, and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Michael's Catholic Church Restoration Fund or a charity of your choosing."
