He was a former Tomah resident. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the White Funderal Home, with Rev. Arnold Nielsen officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday and until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Survivors include one son, Harry, St. Paul; and one sister, Mrs. Lucille Roder, Tomah. Mr. Howie was a cattle buyer and farmer in the Tomah area. He was a member of one of the earliest families to settle in Tomah."
