13. Alvin KAMRATH was born about 1913 in Wisconsin.10 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.10 He died on 2 October 1994 at the age of 81.15

Alvin KAMRATH and Arlys A. NELSON were married on 10 May 1936 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.16 Arlys A. NELSON, daughter of Burr NELSON and Meta WOLFF, was born on 22 May 1916 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.16 She died on 1 December 2010 at the age of 94 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.16

Obituary Notes: "Arlys A. Kamrath, 94, of Tomah, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at the Morrow Memorial Home in Sparta. She was born on May 22, 1916, to Burr and Meta (Wolff) Nelson at Tomah. She graduated from Tomah High School. She was united in marriage on May 10, 1936, to Alvin E. Kamrath in the town of Tomah. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1994. Together Arlys and Alvin farmed in the town of Tomah for 58 years. Arlys was a hard worker who enjoyed working side by side with Alvin on the farm. She loved spending time in the barn milking cows and tending to the calves. In her younger years Arlys enjoyed attending local dances and traveling the countryside with her husband Alvin on his insurance appraisal trips. In retirement, Alvin and Arlys enjoyed taking bus trips to different places. Arlys’ greatest love was spending time with her family. She always looked forward to her grandchildren visiting the farm each summer and the yearly Christmas cookie bake with her twin sister Arlene. Arlys and Arlene shared a special sister bond. She was a faithful and devoted member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church and had served on the Mary Mission Circle and the Ladies Aid. She also was a member of the Needle Craft Club.

She is survived by a son Charles (Beverly) of Tomah; two daughters, Ruth (Ralph) Marti of Alexandria, Minn., and Faye Kamrath of Appleton; five granddaughters, Sandra Ruth (Joe) Giovannettone of Watertown, S.D., Becky Jean (John) Jirik of Parker Prairie, Minn., Tammy Jo (Mike) Abu-Shawish of Bennington, Neb., Barbara Anne (Bruce) Steidl, of Alexandria, Minn., and Sarah (Randal) Dunford of Pulaski, Wis.; great-grandchildren, Bradley (Bekah), Eric (Amy), Amanda and Kevin Dunford, Heather, Mitchell, Phillip, and Olivia Giovannettone, Matthew and Nicholas Jirik and Huda Abu-Shawish; a twin sister, Arlene Wilson of Tomah; a sister-in-law, Beatta Kamrath of Tomah; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alvin, a stepgrandson Tom Berg; and a brother-in-law, Glenn Wilson. A funeral service was held on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, 11 a.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tomah. Pastor Donald Buch officiated. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends called on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service."
