8. Frederic August "Fred" KOHL was born on 4 August 1883 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ He died on 8 December 1979 at the age of 96 in Colorado Springs, El Paso County, CO.¹ He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.² in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Frederic August "Fred" KOHL and Mae Elizabeth VANDERVORT were married on 27 October 1909 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^1,16,17,18 Mae Elizabeth VANDERVORT, daughter of J. Lewis VANDERVORT and Sarah Ann MEDD, was born on 27 June 1886 in Milbank, Grant County, SD.^{14,17,18,19,20} (The 1900 Census lists her birth place as Wisconsin.) She appeared in the census in 1905 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ She graduated in 1907 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁹ from Tomah High School. After 1907 Mae was a school teacher in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ She died on 22 January 1965 at the age of 78 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^17,18,21 (She may have died in Marshfield, WI.) She was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.² in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
