His sponsors were Wilhelm Kortbein (his paternal grandfather), Friedrich Neumann and Bertha "Groner" (Kroener) (his maternal grandmother). Myron died on 27 November 1992 at the age of 87 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^43,117 He was buried on 30 November 1992 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^43,60,117 at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Myron Wilhelm KORTBEIN and Della Iva KUTHLOW were married on 30 May 1936 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^{43,120,121,122,123} at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Della Iva KUTHLOW, daughter of Louis Albinus KUTHLOW and Agnes Laura Auguste GOLDBECK, was born on 27 July 1915 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^{51,116,122,124}

She is the family historian for the Kuthlow Family and has maintained extensive records of the family. She graduated in 1960 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.¹²⁵ from the University of Wisconsin--La Crosse with a degree in Elementary Education.

Obituary Notes: "Della Iva Kortbein age 91 of Tomah died Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Serenity House in Tomah. She was born July 27, 1915 in the township of Wilton to Louis Albinus and Agnes Laura Augusta (Goldbeck) Kuthlow.

After graduating from Sparta High School in 1932 she attended Teachers Training at Tomah and graduated 1933. She later attended and graduated from the University of LaCrosse. She was united in marriage to Myron W. Kortbein on May 30, 1936 in St. John Ev. Lutheran Church Parsonage at Ridgeville. They were members of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church where Della taught Sunday school and was a member of the Altar Guild. They lived on a farm in the town of Ridgeville until they moved to Tomah. They became active and faithful members of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church at Tomah.

She was a member of Debra Circle, Senior Christians and the Mission Circle at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. Della retired after 30 years of teaching in Monroe County Elementary Schools. She was also a member of the Monroe County Retired Teachers Association, Tomah Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Tomah Women’s Club, Senior Citizens, she was an active member of the Monroe County Area Historical Society, Friends of the library, a member of several county genealogical societies and a member A.A.R.P.

She is survived by 3 daughters Joyce Esser Anderson of Madison, Carol (George) Ferge of Janesville, Judy (Charles) Hart of Owatonna, MN and a son Eugene (Patricia) Kortbein of Norwalk, 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 7, 2007, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church 525 Superior Ave. Tomah. Vicar Albert H. Meier II officiated. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends were invited to call at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home 801 East Monowau Street, Tomah on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service."
