LEA was born on 5 September 1874 in Kirby, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.4,39 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Black River Falls, Jackson County, WI.40 His occupation was "Laborer, Lumberyard." He died on 4 November 1936 at the age of 62 in Black River Falls, Jackson County, WI.4,39

Obituary Notes: "Arthur M. Lea, for the past 15 years a highly respected resident of this city, passed away about 3 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 1936, at his home, following an illness of only about 18 hours. Death was due to a heart attack.

Mr. Lea had gone to his work at the Homstad Lumber Company as usual Tuesday, but became ill about 9 o'clock. He first went to the hospital and then to his home. He became easier just about noon and rested quietly from then until about 2:30 in the morning before suffering another attack and passing quietly away.

Arthur M. Lea, son of William and Elizabeth Lea, was born September 5, 1874 in Kirby. His father was a member of the ministry who came from England. He died when Mr. Lea was only ten years of age. Two brothers, Earl and Zack, and three half brothers, Harry, George, and Charles, have all preceded him in death. His only living relatives are two nephews, Will James, of Tomah, and Edgar Lea, of Hankinson, North Dakota, and one niece, Mrs. Mary Newsome, all of whom attended the funeral.

Funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. E. L. Cooper of this city, and Rev. A. D. Willet, of Eau Claire, officiated. The song service was given by Rufus Dimmick and Maurice Keefe, with Mrs. H. H. Richards as accompanist. E. E. homstad, Lawernce Larkin, Walter Braymer, A. M. Rockney, Ray Reesman and Geo. Snowberry officiated as pall bearers. The flower girls were Mrs. C. L. McDonald, Mrs. Robert Mills, Mrs. Rufus Dimmick, Mrs. William Rockney and Miss Ruth Dunlap. All of them at one time lived at the Lea home, and called Mr. Lea "Pa Lea." There were many beautiful floral offerings. Interment was made in Riverside."

Arthur M. LEA and Estella M. NICHOLS were married about 1895 in Wisconsin.40 Estella M. NICHOLS, daughter of John B. NICHOLS and Estella CHURCH, was born in 1875 in Wisconsin.11,40 She appeared in the census in 1930 in Black River Falls, Jackson County, WI.40
