Agnes Arlet HUBERT was born on 16 February 1916 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.58,153 She was baptized on 12 March 1916.153 She appeared in the census in 1920 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.39 Agnes appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.29 She died of an asthma attack on 23 November 1996 at the age of 80 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.154

Agnes Arlet HUBERT and George Otto LUEBCHOW were married on 20 June 1937 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.155 at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church parsonage. They had six children. George Otto LUEBCHOW, son of Albert William LUEBCHOW and Anna Wilhelmine RASCH, was born on 26 October 1907 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.58,154 He died on 7 November 1975 at the age of 68 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.154,155,156 He was buried in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.156 in the Mount Vernon Cemetery.

Agnes Arlet HUBERT and Lester A. ZIMMERMAN were married on 28 August 1982 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.154 Lester A. ZIMMERMAN, son of Emil F. ZIMMERMAN and Hattie SCHROEDER, was born on 21 March 1922 in Monroe County, WI.60,157 He graduated in 1941 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.157 from Tomah High School. He died on 4 April 2008 at the age of 86.60

Obituary Notes: "Lester A. Zimmerman of Ripon, formerly of Tomah, died Friday April 4, 2008. He was born April 21, 1922 to Emil and Hattie (Schroeder) on a farm west of Tomah. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomah. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul EV. Lutheran Church for over 50 years. He graduated from the Tomah High School in 1941. He was married to Marcella Pasch in 1956. She preceded him in death in 1980. He married Agnes Luebchow in 1982 and they relocated back to Tomah. She preceded him in death in 1996. He then married Sally Smith in 1998 and moved to Ripon WI.

He farmed most of his life, belonging to several farming organizations. He was a member of AARP. He belonged to the Men’s Club. He was a member of the Tomah Conservation Club. He was the sexton of Mt. Vernon Cemetery for 45 years, the cemetery secretary and treasurer for 36 years and the cemetery caretaker for 33 years. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening and traveling.

In addition to his wife Sally, he is survived by his step children, the Rev. Roderick (Linda) Luebchow of St. Paul, MN, John (Susan) Luebchow of Tomah, Nancy (Hernandez) Daylo of Tomah, Audrey Bortner of Sun Prairie, Lloyd Smith, Howard Smith, Jerrald (Mary) Smith, Joann (John) Strandell, all of Ripon, Leroy Smith of Plain Field, 29 step-grandchildren, 24 step great-grandchildren and 2 step great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and a stepdaughter Jonell Larson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 8, 2008, 11 a.m. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomah. The Reverend Donald Buch will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Town of Tomah.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. The Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements."
