His surname is spelled "Liebke" in the baptism record of his son Johannes in 1868; as "Luebke" for his son Christian's baptism in 1871 and for his son Christof's marriage in 1886; as "Libke" for Hermann in 1874 and August in 1876 and in the Death Registration Index; and as "Lubke" in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church membership roster in 1900.) He emigrated in 1856 from Preussen (Prussia).¹² He appeared in the census in 1860 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁷ He was living with his father and his youngest brother, John. He and his family were listed in the church Communion Records in the early-1890's and he was listed on the Membership Roster in 1900. Chris deeded it to Paul Libke on June 16, 1905. Paul gave the farm to his children and they gave it to Mary Libke in 1906. Paul Libke sold it on March 17, 1914 to Herman H. Gerke. Christian appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹² His occupation was "Farmer." He appeared in the census in 1905 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ He and his wife living with his son Paul. He died on 11 January 1906 at the age of 69 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^1,16,18 Christian was buried on 14 January 1906 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^1,7,16 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
