He was buried on 8 November 1900 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.3,4 in the St. Paul's German Lutheran Church Cemetery.

(Buried nearby in the same cemetery is Laura Lueck, 1898-1921; that may have been his wife.)
