Karl appeared in the census in 1880 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.2,4 His residence was at 122 West Benton Street and his occupation was "Railroad Laborer." He appeared in the census in 1900 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.5 His household was on Superior Avenue. He died on 19 January 1907 at the age of 76 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.1 Karl was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.1 in the Oak Grove Cemetery. He was a baggageman for the St. Paul Railroad for 15 years.1
