19. Bertha LUECK was born on 11 October 1896 in Wisconsin.^9,19 She appeared in the census in 1900 in Lafayette Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ She appeared in the census in 1910 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.⁹ Bertha died in April 1986 at the age of 89.¹⁹

Bertha LUECK and Emil SCHWANDT were married on 7 November 1916 in Portland Township, Monroe County, WI.^4,19 Emil SCHWANDT, son of Charles SCHWANDT and Auguste MARTIN, was born on 12 April 1884 in Wisconsin.^6,19 He appeared in the census in 1900 in Portland Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ He appeared in the census in 1910 in Portland Township, Monroe County, WI.^9,41 He was living with his parents.

(He could not be located in Portland Township in the 1920 Census. There was an Emil Schwandt, age 34, and wife Lily, age 26, living in Green Lake Township, Green Lake County, WI, and that may have been him.) Emil died in January 1972 at the age of 87.¹⁹
