He appeared in the census in 1910 in Clifton Township, Monroe County, WI.3 His household was on the Kendall Tomah Highway and his occupation was "Farmer, General Farm." He died before 1920 at the age of 80.4,5 (His wife was listed as a Widow in the 1920 Census.) (He may be the "Father" Mahnke that is buried in the Pilgrims Home Cemetery in Norwalk.)

(Her birth date was listed as September 1841 in the 1900 Census, but she was listed as age 31 in 1880 and 61 in 1910, indicating a birth year of about 1849.)

Rieke died before 1930 at the age of 81.8 She was not listed in the 1930 Census, so it is assumed that she died before then.
