147. Lorene L. WESTPFAHL was born on 17 October 1928 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.32,54 She appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.32 She died on 14 April 2004 at the age of 75 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.54

Obituary Notes: "Lorene L. Koput, 75, of Tomah, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at the Serenity House in Tomah. She was born Oct. 17, 1928, to Alloth W. and Helen G. (Mahoney) Westpfahl in the Town of Adrian. She attended school in Tomah and graduated from Tomah High School. She was united in marriage to Raymond R. Koput on July 24, 1948 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 2000. Ray and Lorene enjoyed winters in Arizona. They were active in the American Legion. They also enjoyed time spent with family and friends and their feathered friend, Sidney. Lorene was a loving and devoted, wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Lorene is survived by her two sons, David (Marcia) of Tomah and Richard (Susan) of Wilton; seven grandchildren, Kevin (Angie), Kory (his special friend Callie) and Kristopher (his special friend Becky), all of Waukesha, Tania (Craig) DeChant, Tyson (Julia), Trent (Veronika) all of Tomah, and Terina (Mitch ) Greeno of Fort Collins, CO.; five great-grandchildren, Courtney, Devan and Dannika Koput, Tanner and Tyler DeChant; three sisters, Leila (Dale) Moseley of Cassville, Helen Joy (Charles) Starkey of Oregon and Carrol (Kenneth) Schmidt of Hubertus; five brothers, Arlyn (Geraldine) Westpfahl of Florida, Merlyn (Irene) Westpfahl of Waukesha, Melvin (Joanne) Westpfahl and James (Mary) Westpfahl, all of Tomah, and Steven (Patty) Westpfahl of Green Lake; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Westpfhal Lyden Jaeger; many other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Victor Westpfahl; and a brother-in-law, Larry Lyden.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 17, 2004, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 315 W. Monroe St., Tomah. The Very Rev. Steven J. Kachel will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah, and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of the Mass. The family requests memorials be given to Tomah Hospice Touch, c/o Tomah Memorial Hospital, 321 Butts Ave., Tomah, WI 54660."
Lorene was buried on 17 April 2004 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.54 in the St. Mary's Cemetery.

Lorene L. WESTPFAHL and Raymond R. KOPUT were married on 24 July 1948 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.54 Raymond R. KOPUT died on 31 August 2000.63
