(His middle name may have been Jerome and he may have been born 30 September 1934 in Monroe County.) Kenneth A. "Ken" SCHMIDT, son of Anthony SCHMIDT and Catherine UNKNOWN (SCHMIDT), was born about 1959.264 He died on 28 November 2014 at the age of 55.264

Obituary Notes: "Kenneth A. Schmidt of Waukesha passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, after a short illness.

Ken is survived by his wife and friend of 55 years, Carrol (Westpfahl). He is survived by his sister, Frances (Dr. Robert) Keller of Sheboygan; a niece, Mary (Tim) Corkel of Elmhurst, Ill.; and two nephews, John (Mary) Keller of Burlingame, Calif. and Paul Keller of Richland, Wash.; sisters-in-law, Leila (Dale) Moseley, Joanne (the late, Mel) Westpfahl of Tomah, Geraldine (the late, Arlyn) Westpfahl of New Smyria, Fla.; and brothers-in-law, Merlyn (Irene) Westpfahl of Waukesha and Steven (Patti) Westpfahl of Green Lake; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and Anthony Schmidt; and his stepmother, Ann.

Ken was a veteran of the Korean War. He graduated from Marquette University School of Business and University of Wisconsin School of Architecture. Ken was an avid collector of both World War II memorabilia and anything that had to do with American Indians. Ken enjoyed Mother Nature and loved living in the hills near Holy Hill which he referred to as his “little piece of heaven.”

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at St. Mary of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tomah. Msgr. Richard Gilles will officiate. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church."
