155. James A. WESTPFAHL Sr. was born about 1949.270 He died on 16 August 2013 at the age of 64 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.270

Obituary Notes: "James A. Westpfahl, 64, of Tomah, passed away at his home on Friday, Aug. 16, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary (O’Leary) Westpfahl; sons, Jonathan of Tomah and James of Onalaska; one grandchild, his buddy, Evan Westpfahl. He is further survived by his sisters, Leila (Dale) Mosley, Carrol (Ken) Schmidt; brothers, Merlyn (Irene) Westpfahl, Melvin (Joanne) Westpfahl, Steven (Patty) Westpfahl, and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen (Mahoney) Westpfahl; his father, Alloth; sisters Lorene Koput, Helen Joy Starkey; brothers, Arlyn Westpfahl and Victor Westpfahl.
Jim owned Downtown Auto Sales for over 30 years and enjoyed being his own boss and enjoyed remodeling houses. He always loved his cars, boats and any other big boy toys.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Monsignor Richard Gilles will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Tomah. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home."

James A. WESTPFAHL Sr. and Mary O'LEARY were married about 1979.270 Mary O'LEARY was born on 11 September 1952 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.271 She died on 22 January 2014 at the age of 61 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.271

Obituary Notes: "Mary Westpfahl, 61, of Tomah passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at the Serenity House in Tomah. She was born Sept. 11, 1952, to John “Jack” and Louise (Grosse) O’Leary, in Tomah. Aug. 11, 1979, she was united in marriage to James Westpfahl.

Mary worked at Exopack (Union Camp), in the office for over 30 years until her retirement. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tomah. She loved going to her sons’ sporting events. She was their biggest fan.

In her spare time, Mary enjoyed working with her husband, Jim on remodeling old homes. Mary had a heart of gold and a caring nature. She had unconditional acceptance of people around her and compassion for everyone without hesitation. She loved her family more than anything.

She is survived by her two sons, Jonathan (Jessica Marshall) Westpfahl of Tomah, and James (Chelsea) Westpfahl Jr. of Onalaska; a grandson, Evan Westpfahl; siblings, Bob (Darlene) O’Leary of Tucson, Ariz., Kevin (Wanda) O’Leary of Tomah, Jennie O’Leary of Glendale, Ariz., and James O’Leary of Nashotah, Wis.; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Jim passed away August of 2013.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tomah. Monsignor Richard Gillis will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Visitation will also be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the church."
