He died on 12 October 2006 at the age of 23 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.34 Obituary Notes: "Andrew William Phillips, age 23, of Tomah, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. He was born April 1, 1983, to William “Bill” and Rhonda (Rogge) Phillips in Tomah. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church Tomah. Andy graduated from St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Elementary School and Tomah Senior High School Class of 2001. He worked at Wal-Mart in Tomah for several years and most recently was employed with Anixter Fasteners in Tomah. He was an outgoing hardworking young man that enjoyed people, playing basketball, softball and was an exceptional dart player. He is survived by his parents, Bill and Rhonda Phillips of Tomah; a brother, Cody of Tomah; three sisters, Lisa (Joseph) Foune and Lori Sumbler, both of Hinesville, GA, and Mandy (William) Morales of Tampa, FL; his special friend, Marcella Trejo of Tomah; his maternal grandmother, Violet Rogge of Tomah, and paternal grandfather, Floyd Phillips of Tomah; four uncles, Robert (Evelyn) Rogge of Camp Douglas, Gerald (Barb) Phillips of Oakdale, Ken (Linda) Phillips and Jim (Nancy) Phillips of Tomah; four aunts, Henrietta Niebuhr and Kay (Leonard) Fox, all of Tomah, Colleen (Robert) Carl and Joan (Tracey) Prissel, all of Warrens. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Forrest Rogge; paternal grandmother, Dolores Phillips; his aunt, Judy Phillips, and cousins Travis Phillips, Craig Niebuhr and Brian Steele. Funeral services will be held today (Monday), Oct. 16, at 5 p.m. from St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 N. Superior Ave., Tomah. Pastor Donald R. Buch will officiate."
