"Nikki" PERGANDE was born on 2 October 1984 in Janesville, Rock County, WI.439 She died on 16 April 2009 at the age of 24 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.439 Obituary Notes: "Nicole Ann Pergande, age 24, of Milwaukee, passed into the hands of the Lord and found eternal peace on Thursday, April 16, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Milwaukee. She was born in Janesville on Oct. 2, 1984, the beloved daughter of Jonnie Pergande, Chris Gage and Dennis Fula. Throughout her childhood everyone knew who Nikki was. That infamous ponytail and that big bright smile. She enjoyed running around with her brothers on the farm she grew up on. Entering her teenage years Nicole blossomed and began to find her purpose in life. At age 11 she was diagnosed with hydrocephalus (or water on her brain). Many surgeries took place in her life, but she always managed to hang in there and be strong. After moving to Milwaukee, she graduated from Pulaski High School. She set out to explore the world, discovering new places, friends and relationships. Every person that sat down with her and took some time out of their day to make her laugh and talk to her made her happy. At age 24 Nikki was lifted high into the air. No more hospitals, no more pain, just Gummie Bears, diet Pepsi and a smile that brightens up everyone’s day. She is survived by her mother, Jonnie; cherished brothers, Justin and Jeremy; special brothers, Albert, Brett, Rob, Mike, Will and Meda Meda; loving grandparents, Gary and Carolyn Pergande; aunts: Peggy, Vickie, Kathy, Cindy, Julie, Heather, Kathy, Barb, Su, and Jan; uncles: Mark, Carl, Keith, Jake, Mike, Scotty, Rodger, Jake, Steve and Rick; dear cousins: Krista, Shayla, Corrina, Cory, Chris, Krista, Lucy, Griffin, Xavier, Tobias and Malachi; and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Kay E. Pergande; great-grandparents, Tom Gage, Lloyd and Arlene Pergande, and Clarence and Kay Rinehart; and great-uncles, David and Terry Pergande. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH with Rev. George Bauman officiating.
