Obituary Notes: "Kathryn Ludeking, 96 of Oakdale passed Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at Tomah Memorial Hospital in Tomah, surrounded by her family.She was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Tomah, to William F. and Sophia T. (Eirschele) Lobe.

She was united in marriage to Raymond D. Ludeking Dec. 20, 1941, at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church at Indian Creek. He preceded her in death Dec. 20, 1998.

Surviving are her children, Dale (Bonnie) of Camp Douglas, Gary (Sue) of Tomah, Doneita Gilson, Diane (Thomas) Griffin and Judie (Edwin) Olsen, all of Tomah; granddaughter-in-law, Kathy Gilson of Tomah; 11 grandchildren, Sherri (Don) Giraud, Sheila (Otto) Sommerfield, DeAnna (Richard) Siess, Rick (Sue) Griffin, Lisa (Ted) Pfeffer, Karla (Tim) Pierce, Brian (Karen) Olsen, Tammi (Brian) Kostka, Tina Brandvig, Thad (Cody) Ludeking and Amanda (Tony) Newcomb; 26 great-grandchildren; nine 9 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janice Lobe of Tomah; as well as many other friends and loving relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Raymond; son-in-law, Ronald Gilson; grandson, Larry Gilson; one brother, Roger Lobe; one sister, Margaret (Lobe) Williams; and three infant brothers.Katie was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church and knew and loved her Lord and Savior. Known as Grandma King, she was great at everything she did, but was especially great at being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and mother-in-law. She loved the family she had, with all she had, and leaves an amazing legacy behind.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave., Tomah. Pastor Curt Backhaus will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Oakdale Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah and from 10 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church."
