It is not known how they were related to Ferdinand, although John might have been the brother of Ferdinand's father, Tobias. Also in the household were Mary "Holangit" (spelling not clear), age 57, born in PA, and James (same surname), age 21, born in PA. They may have been Ferdinand's mother, Mary Jane, and his brother, James. Their ages would fit, but it is not known why they were not listed as Mc Nutt; Mary is not known to have remarried. Ferdinand is listed immediately following them on the Census record, so the enumerator may have made a mistake in listing their surname. His surname was listed as "Mc Nut." . He appeared in the census in 1880 in Millston, Jackson County, WI.12 His household was next door to his mother and his occupation was listed as "farmer." Ferdinand died on 10 April 1933 at the age of 78 in St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO.1 Ferdinand Juan Citoe MCNUTT and Abigail Utopia STRANG were married.12 Abigail Utopia STRANG was born about 1857 in Wisconsin.12 She appeared in the census in 1880 in Millston, Jackson County, WI.12 Ferdinand Juan Citoe MCNUTT and Abigail Utopia STRANG had the following children:
