Maurice Benjamin "Maurie" MEE was born on 11 June 1913 in Monroe County, WI.^14,32 He appeared in the census in 1920 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁷ He graduated in 1928 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁴ from Tomah High School. Maurice appeared in the census in 1930 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁸ He died on 6 August 2004 at the age of 91 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.¹⁴

Obituary Notes: "Maurice (Maurie) Benjamin Mee of Milwaukee, originally from Tomah, went home to the Lord on Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at the age of 91. He was born to Archibald and Pauline (Ludeking) Mee on June 11, 1913. He was a graduate of Tomah High School. After high school, he went to Racine and then to Milwaukee. On June 25, 1938, he married Ruth (nee Billen). He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, terrific brother, uncle, friend, member of Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran Church and an avid card player.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of 66 years; his sons, George of Milwaukee, Kenneth (Patricia) of Plymouth, Mich., Keith (Carol) of Mukwonago; and Suzanne (Daniel) Cantillion of Sussex. He was the grandpa of Kristen (Chris), Ryan (Melissa), Jessica (Alejandro), Jordan, Benjamin, Brett and Staci; great-grandpa of Celeste and Elliot; dear brother of Beatrice Hyland-Dupee of Tomah, Vivian (Lyle) Brookman of Lakeland, Fla., and Benny (Erna) Mee of Tomah; brother-in-law of Norine Wilson, Milwaukee. He is also survived by goddaughters Janice Chubeck of Milwaukee and Lori (John) Williamson of Tomah; nieces, nephews, other family, friends and his "special pal" Tiffy. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Spencer (Bud), Orvis, Herbert (Herb) and Milton (Milt).

Maurice has touched the lives of many and will always be remembered."
